The Boat Trip in Sausalito

On Tuesday April 8th 2014 we went on a 3 hour boat trip in Sausalito.  We learned how to raise the sail, how to find where we were on a map, how to tie a lot of knots, and how to steer the boat.  We also visited the downstairs, there were secret compartments downstairs to hide food and there were couches that turn into beds.  There were 19 beds downstairs.  After the boat trip we ate lunch on stairs by the dock.  After lunch we went to the beach and we went in the water so we made tunnels but they collapsed so we used water and pitch that we found in tide pools to make a big hole.  After that we went back to school.

Park Guell

In Spain there is a really cool park called Park Guell.  At Park Guell there are many things including a room with 100 columns which has a really cool mosaic ceiling and on the roof there is the world`s longest bench which is 100% mosaic with great views of the park.  There is also a really cool museum that is Brown a spicky roof and a high column.  The building next to it is exactly the same but
without the column.  That is not it because I cannot describe it all.  See you on the next post.  Bye!

CAPOEIRA BATIZADO (PRESENTATION)

Every year the capoeira school I go to has a presentation.  At the presentation we have a workshop and then we fight masters.  The same night we sometimes have a show.  This year the show was what happened 100 years ago.  We were sitting in a circle asking a guy questions.  The whole show was a story he was telling us.

LEFT HANDED STORE

.At Pier 39 there is a store that is only for left handed people. I love going there because they have stuff there that you don't think about as a right handed person. For example they have rulers, notebooks, scissors, compasses, pencils, pens, markers, colored pencils, & even mugs that if a right handed person uses it will spill on you. There was also a funny hat that said: " I am a left handed person but I am always right"

POINT BONITA

Point Bonita is a lighthouse in the Marin Headlands.  I went there with my uncle my aunt & my mom. When you get there you have to go a long way before you get to the lighthouse.  After you are almost at the lighthouse you need to go on a swaying bridge.  When you get to the lighthouse you can go inside the lighthouse there is a map of all the shipwrecks in the bay area. If you look at the map closely you will see that most of the shipwrecks happened at Point Bonita.

GALETTE DES ROIS

Every year on January 6 the french do a celebration called Galette des Rois. For galette du Rois you have a special almond paste cake  with a prize inside it. Somebody hides under a table & calls out names. If your name is called you get a piece of cake. The person who calls out names gets the cake last. If you get the prize  that is in the cake you are king or queen for the day & gets to choose a king for the day , queen for the day , or servant for the day. The servant has to clean the cake. If you are king or queen for the day you get a crown.

This is the feve that I got on January 6.

That is the picture of me as king on January 6.
